My Winter break
My Winter break Thanks to my travel and wine buddy! I wonder if She just takes me out just to keep me social?? I digress, sorry. Many of you outside of this area may be surprised to learn that Ohio does make some fine Wines and we are blessed with many Winerys, alot being right up here scattered along Lake Erie. So on Sat. we took in 5 local ones. We had Lunch at our first one then tasted. Lunch was good, nothing fancy but done right. We went to our second one. Our service was slow. Once we got waited on then we moved along. Interesting Wines. Our next stop ended on this Hill top surrounded by Apple Orchards and Vineyards. They had a Red wine that was fruity and tasty. I loved several of the fruit wines, Raspberry, Blackberry being two. Very cool place. Off to our 4th one. A kinda small not very impressive place. The wines here were outstanding! Do not let the outside fool you, it is what is inside that counts. Advice that works for Lesbian Date Network also. Found another red wine and Elderberry/ blackberry wine that was just smooth. As great of a day we were having, there always has to be one disappointment. We found it in Norwalk. All the wines we had contained this weird aftertaste. Off to dinner at this old Mill. Owner was too cool and the food was Hot! I tried this Elk with mushrooms. It was so good. Thinking over the whole experience we had great fun that day. It does not have to be all about sex. Sometimes it does pay to be open minded and open to traveling some. Open to trying new things or wines. Live in the moment. We had wines we both did not like, however we focused on what we did like. Kinda good life advice. |
