I DON'T TWEET

I DON'T TWEET !

Do you?

I also don't care much about what the super rich, sports idiots, rock stars, or pretty faces in films have to say about anything.

I DO love the Huffington Post and AOL front page on my desktop computer. I've been active on a computer for about ten years, and during that time I've probably absorbed more scientific and general information than during the previous fifty years of walking around. I'm still pretty dumb as those of you good people who read my blog are witness to... but...just think how much even dumber I'd be without my trusty computer to pull me up by my nut sack?

Ain't it great? Or do you hate it all? Do you hate this technological leap forward in digital broadcasting of information?

Prior to the advancement in computers, I was a junky of TALK RADIO... Because we live in Southern California, my TALK radio station is/was KFI, broadcast from Burbank, just outside L.A. I still listen to a lot of talk radio.

I don't look at very much TV. The small number of shows M. and I watch are usually recorded first on our DVR and then watched, minus the advertisements, that tend to drive me a little crazy. I like AM radio because I can be doing other things, walking around, fixing things, putting up shelves, etc., where with the TUBE I'm just stuck in a chair....

I can't remember when I bought my last newspaper..

I personally love the tremendous amount of information available on the Internet
How about you? Do you love it, or hate it?

Recently, the tiny carburetor on our computer-controlled home generator got plugged, and the generator wouldn't run... By going to the "how to do it videos on U Tube", I was able to print out all the instructions for fixing the problem,
and with a couple of hours work, had the generator working again. Without that print out, I didn't even know where the carb. was located in the Honda Generator.

This is only one example of all the things I've learned to do with my trusty computer....

And, no, I don't have a Smart Phone. Probably, in the next couple of years that will be something I add.. although...I hate those tiny screens. The bigger the monitor is the more I like the computer...
