WRITING A BLOG IS A WASTE OF TIME WRITING A BLOG IS A WASTE OF TIME Writing a blog is (mostly) a waste of time for men on this site. Unless of course you enjoy writing just for the enjoyment of writing the way I do. The main reason I write posts here is because I'm so old I don't want my brain to completely rot away before my dick does. Writing is a good way to keep the synapses sparking in those frontal lobes. I think of myself sorta' like a used four cylinder car, needing to keep those spark plugs firing. I'm about the only one who ever gets charged up over some of the things I write. I even shock myself sometimes. Sometimes I give myself wood while remembering and writing of some personal experience that happened to me in the dark ages that most people have no interest in and few people read. I seriously doubt many people ACTUALLY read every word I write in these posts. I think they do the same thing with my blog that I do to the blogs I go to that are new to me and contain huge blocks of solid size 3 type... SCAN. If a post really interests me though, I'll read it through very carefully and sometimes go back and read it a second time. I try to make my posts as clear, and as easy to read as possible. I dislike trying to read huge paragraphs of solid writing with no spaces and I always post in size 4 type for us older crowd. (Yeah, I know Ctrl and + or - enlarges or decreases the page and the type...) Those few loyal readers of my posts who actually come to this blog each time I put up a new post deserve a metal from me. When I started this blog back in the spring of 2008, only one constant reader came to my blog... If you think my posts are bad now, I would hate to get your opinion of them in '08. Writing a blog has helped me to be free and fluid in the emails I write to friends and ralatives. It's also improved my spelling. As a matter of fact I do almost all my contacting people and businesses on the computer now. I had the bad habit back in THOSE years of trying to get too much information into my posts. I experimented with posts that were continued to 2,3 and sometimes 4 long posts. That was pretty much a total failure. The way this site is designed is best used to keep a running diary of what's happening each day. I have to be completely honest with you'all, I mainly write this post to entertain myself. The ONLY time I've ever had a number of people read my stuff is when I've gotten into arguments over some silly thing that someone wrote about me, or I wrote about them and word of a "fight" circulated to the people who read us both. Strange as it seems even to me now. I once fell in love on this site, sorta' like it was a reincarnation of a past life where I met someone through her visit to my blog whom I knew from a past life. It was very intense for me at that time. I felt like I was once again a young who'd fallen for a girl in one of my classes. At that time I'd just turned 70, but felt more like 16. It passed, and M. knew I was under some sort of spell, so she forgave me. THAT was a very interesting experience for me. All in all, I like this site, and I don't mind wasting a bit of time writing my nonsense. Sitting back with a cup of coffee and letting my fingers plow the keyboard is a simple thing for me to do. Perhaps once in awhile someone reads something I've written and gets a chuckle from it, or what I've written gets them thinking about something in a different way from what they usually think.. Unless your post is unusually long I read them all. As for myself I can't imagine it but for the past 8 years,I have been checking in daily on Lesbian Date Network..

Yeah, it was the first year I was on this site in '08, and I was a Gold for 14 or 15 months, so I could move around a little, visit profiles, make bling, advertise myself, and send emails and especially--the thing I miss as a Standard--there was the web page where I could click on and see what others wrote about me when I left a comment on their posts... I did about everything to get myself in trouble with a group loyal to a woman who liked my posts and had hundreds of loyal followers. I think there was jealousy involved on my part and on other's part. I wrote a lot of poetry that seemed to hit nerves at that time. One poem I wrote and posted that caused an uproar was titled POLE DANCER, and was very disrespectful to a lot of the young women and the silly men who follow them on this site. Marisol got very upset by the whole silly thing..There also was an uproar accusing me of being a Warlock and traveling in the alpha state to have sex with women when they were sleeping.. I know, I know, it sounds very weird, but there was a woman who claimed to be a witch who wrote that she saw my spirit traveling among her group of women friends and making love to them when their defenses were down... I've been very calm and collected in these subsequent years. Plus,I'm only a standard using a dial-up connection, so about all I do is write my posts and write comments to the people I know and those who come to my blog. I deleted everything from those first few years. I printed out some of the better poems, including the POLE DANCER and have a stack of paper about 2 inches thick from those first couple of years. I don't write much of anything about my mystical tendencies.. WHOOPS! Sorry, I got carried away and this reply to your comment is WAY too long and involved... xxxxdavid

I understand where your coming from. I used my blog as a vessel,to put my personal opinions on screen. What happened was being blacklisted by females. they would take my words as hated towards women (Because i would tell the tricks and games they play...) Guess on this site, theres no place for us men who speak our minds, no matter how harsh! It's true we men who blog have to be pretty careful of how we write our posts. I'm really fortunate with the women who consistently follow my blog they all have a lot of compassion, and like men. xxxdavid

I smile... and agree... with your last statement. For many, writing a blog, as well as reading is indeed a waste of time. Yet, for so many such as yourself, writing is certainly not a waste, even as it is not a waste of time for my reading pleasure. Thank you...
