THUMBS UP !

THUMBS UP !

If you ever watch information commercials on the flat screen, you've probably seen one for the NU WAVE oven.

This thing is a convection oven--which means it has a fan inside that blows the heat all around inside the dome to cook food evenly.

The NU WAVE also cooks with infrared heat, which means you can take frozen-solid food from the freezer, stick it in this oven, and it cooks from the inside out.

By cooking food in this way, the food you're cooking--especially things like rock hard frozen chicken--cook from the inside out, and instead of getting as dry as old leather, the way things do in the microwave, the food comes out filled with all the natural juices.

Cooking meat in this way keeps the juices inside the meat, and the food comes out moist, tender and delicious.

The picture above is of chicken I cooked yesterday in the NU WAVE. The picture is a little blurred because of condensation inside the dome. I placed the oven outside the house in an enclosed porch to cool for a few minutes, and to snap this picture after the chicken was done.

The oven is efficient in the use of electricity.

By setting food on a plate inside the dome to keep drips from falling on the bottom of the oven, the clean up after the cooking is finished, a snap.

Unlike a Microwave oven, you can place food on steel pans inside this oven without sparking.

I've had this oven for over two years, and use it frequently. It's very dependable. The timer and power controls work properly, and it's well built.

One of the oven's disadvantages is that it's large and takes up a lot of counter space in your kitchen. I store ours in another area of our house...

This chicken was for M. who was visiting me. I should have snapped a picture with the asparagus, brown rice and small dinner salad on our plates, but got busy catching up on what Marisol was up to..

This is a sex site of course and not a place for my commercials, but....sex and good food go together, don't they?

M was visiting? correct me if I'm wrong but you two live together.....don't you???
M. got a job teaching English to some kids from South of the Border, and we decided she'd live back with her X, Roger, because the morning and evening drive from my place, 12 miles each way from town, and then another 20 miles to the job, was too hard on her and on her truck. (Bumpy roads).

Also, Roger, who lost part of his right leg last year from an infection, needed M's help with a few things. (Long story).

Now M.'s job has closed because the AC in the building where classes were held, went out, and there's no money to fix the AC, and it's too hot with the temps. at 110 during the summer for anyone to be in the building without AC...

So....M's back with me.. She didn't need the money from the job, it was just something she was doing to help some of the thousands of kids in Southern California who don't speak any English.

Even when M. was living in town I saw her a couple of times a week when I went in for my mail and for supplies, but it's much better having her back with me...xxxxdavid

Ours has held up very well, with nothing breaking, and we use it probably at least once a week. I think if you do buy one, you'll be happy with the way it cooks things...

Nice picture! David...

Is that one of your favorites too? M. loves that meal and I think she could eat the same thing over at each meal for a month...

Yes. Avocado in the salad.

We do cheat health wise on the salad because we both use Ken's Thousand Island dressing.

We also drank strong fresh ground, and prepared, Hazelnut Coffee.
It was nice having a chance to talk one on one with Marisol.
Marisol's teaching has been cancelled because the A. C. has gone KAPUT, throughout the building, and there's no money in the budget to fix it.

California is a busted egg.

love and kisses, David
