Do it your way.... I recall... there was a point in my life where grief gripped me by the throat. I would drive to work, listening to the radio and it seemed as if... every fricken song they played... was talking about what I was going through. I'd end up at red lights and just break down. This went on for a while. I'd get to work or back at home, totally spent. Eventually things settled down. I realized... perhaps I should switch to sports talk radio. Or just listen to the engine of my car. Yep.. do it your own way. Even if we don't have a personal connection, I hear you and understand what you are experiencing. So yes, write on. When I was experiencing something similar... months/years later I looked back and saw that it was comparable to being kneedeep at the beach -- the waves coming and going in a regular pattern, then once in a while there's a moment when the waves suddenly surge, and suddenly calm down again. Let it wash over you, it will pass.
